Why are we bringing Business Etiquette into Marketing and Public Relations?
Without etiquette, business development and communication efforts are short changed. After two decades of seeing ‘professionals’ and college graduates alike embarrass themselves in client meetings and media interviews while incurring expensive lawsuits, Crystal began incorporating business etiquette into her work.
“Despite impressive resumes from the best schools, it wasn’t enough on the social stakes front,” says Rockwood. “Etiquette does differentiate a firm’s representatives from its competitors.”
Rockwood trained with the Emily Post Institute, the ultimate authority on etiquette in America. Her business etiquette training included managing business social environments, dining etiquette, handling difficult situations, communications, image enhancement, and workplace etiquette.
